The house is Christmasified

The weekend after Thanksgiving we set about putting up our Christmas decorations.  Poor Tristan was still feeling pretty lousy but managed to get a few things the way he likes them.  Tiernan was really excited about trimming the tree and Tristan felt strong enough to assist him a little.

Tiernan got to turn on the lights for the first time.
The next morning he learned that it was okay to touch the ornaments but not take them off.  I actually found a really nice benefit to our artificial tree (there are more and more the longer we have it).  Because we have one that allows you to bend and adjust the branches I can put the ornament on the end and then bend the end of the branch back over the string and it stays really well.
I am looking forward to a Christmas season with a tree that is decorated all the way down.  :)

He discovered our little horn ornament....here he is trying to play it....through the bell.  :)

Here is T1 working on his traditional Christmas drawing.
About 3 years ago he found one of the cardboard dividers in our ornament box and he drew a wonderful Christmas morning scene.  The next year he looked at it and decided to make a new one.  So now it is a tradition.  He signs and dates them.  Really cute.

The following week when T1 was still home recovering but no longer loopy on pain meds he felt ready to put up our nativity sets.  He enjoys placing them just so.

By this point he was looking pretty worn out.

Silly boy.  So happy about Christmas.
